The First Tee of Fort Smith teaches the nine basics of life: perseverance, respect, responsibility, judgment, integrity, sportsmanship, courtesy, confidence and honesty. Clinics for disabled children and adults available on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Fee is $35 annual membership for first child, $30 for siblings; $25 summer activity fee.

Beginners learn quick-start tennis and stroke development plus get an introduction to the sport. Intermediate players, who should have some tennis knowledge, learn quick-start tennis, stroke development and scoring.

Fort Smith Tideriders
The Tideriders, a professionally coached swimming program, gives children opportunities for fun, fitness, skills, development, water safety, team atmosphere, aerobic exercise and competition. Cost varies from $48 - $64 monthly. See a sneak peek at these competitors at the 18th Annual Recordsetter Invitational June 20-22 at Creekmore Park. The meet runs 5 - 9pm June 20 and 8am - 9pm June 21-22.

Mercy Fitness Center's swim team is a non-competative way for kids 5 years and older to improve their swimming skills. Children must be able to swim the length of the pool. Fee is $40 a month for members, $55 for non-members. Individual and group lessons are also available. To enroll, call 479-314-7400.

For athletes wanting to maximize their potential in speed, flexibility, quickness and agility, the Fort Smith Athletic Club is offering Speed Camps  using Xcel speed training.
Session runs July 7-31. Also, each age group has the option of attending a Monday/Wednesday class or a Tuesday/Thursday class. Times for grades 3-5 are 9 - 10:30am, grades 6-9 are 11am - 12:30pm, 10th grade and older meet 3 - 4:30pm, with only Monday/Wednesday option available.
Fee is $200, with a $25 multiple child discount.
