Dental Health Q & A
by: The Center for Smiles, Dr. Carl & Cody Friddle

Q: When should my child be able to brush his or her own teeth?

A: At age two or three, you can begin to teach your child proper brushing techniques. However, you will need to follow up with brushing and flossing until age seven or eight, when your child has the dexterity to do it alone.
